YouTube is rolling out a new design update that includes a darker dark mode. The new mode uses richer and deeper blacks, which will make the app look more stylish and immersive. The update is also expected to improve battery life on devices with OLED screens.
The new dark mode is currently rolling out to users, and it is expected to be completed by the end of August. If you haven’t already received the update, you can check for it by going to your app store and updating YouTube.
Here are some of the other changes included in the new YouTube design update:
- Revamped UI elements: The like, dislike, and share buttons have been redesigned to be more prominent and easier to tap. The subscribe button has also been moved to the right side of the screen, making it easier to reach.
- Pinch-to-zoom: You can now pinch to zoom in on videos, which is great for watching details or reading captions.
- Ambient mode: When you’re watching a video in a dark room, the app will automatically switch to ambient mode, which will dim the background and make the video stand out more.
Enjoy the new YouTube design update!
